BizSnap User's Guide
BizSnap makes converting business cards into contacts and capturing receipt details on your device easy and fun. This guide describes the basic usage of BizSnap and offers hints and tips on getting the best results and to help ensure it is easy and fun.
BizSnap operates in two modes, card mode and receipt mode. To switch modes simply select the appropriate tab at the bottom of the main screen.
BizSnap uses the camera on your device and your photography skills to capture an image of a business card or receipt. From there BizSnap does the rest by processing the image through our cutting edge OCR engine and contact/receipt data identification rules algorithm. From that process the business card image is converted into classified text elements that can be used to create a contact on your device. A receipt image is converted into classified text elements that can be e-mailed for use in expense report generation.
The typical contact creation scenario is as follows,
- "Snap" a Business Card, and give it a name/description
- Save it and "snap" another business card (if needed)
- Submit one or more snaps for OCR and contact field processing
- Create a contact from a "snap" that completed processing
The typical receipt capture scenario is as follows,
- "Snap" a receipt, and give it a name/description
- Save it and "snap" another receipt (if needed)
- Submit one or more snaps for OCR and receipt field identification
- Verify and adjust the OCR text results and e-mail the results to yourself for expense report creation.
